After assignments in ICT sector as consultant (Textile/Clothing/Fashion, Banking, etc) between Italy and India he worked with European Commission in several projects (as coordinator or partner) with public-private bodies basically focusing Technology Transfer and interaction between Research and Industry.
In 2004 he established “RICE-NET”, the first EU-India network whose main aim was to set up a platform for technological and cultural exchange on rice sector between India and main European ‘rice oriented’ countries. After his assignment as officer of the Italian governmental agency for Technology Transfer he worked as consultant for different stakeholders (institutional, industrial, public), focusing on main themes that characterised his recent professional life, Innovation and Internationalisation.
His major assignment at present is “Head of Unit and in charge of special projects” for an Italian innovation agency, targeting MSMEs and EU (i.e. public) funds; he is still acting as Advisor on Indian business development, in collaboration with the Indian delegation to Italy.
Since 2011 Dr. Dave has also been appointed as International activities manager for a no-profit foundation based in Venice whose main aim is to support the application of medium range technologies and ICT to sectors like agriculture and health for the sake of low income population/countries. This initiative aims also to establish small scale incubators for undergraduates and young talented people in developing countries with the endorsement of organisations like EAI – European Alliance for Innovation.
During his career, Mr. Dave has also analysed several innovation policies also from non-EU countries (ie China, Iran, South Korea, Japan, U.S.A) and participated as expert in several innovation think tanks like INSME (International Network for SMEs).
